Call for Symposia, Tracks, Workshops and Special Sessions The International Conference on High Performance Computing & Simulation (HPCS 2012) http://hpcs2012.cisedu.info or http://cisedu.us/rp/hpcs12 July 2 – July 6, 2012 Madrid, Spain Submission Deadline: January 31, 2012 PURPOSE AND SCOPE The 2012 International Conference on High Performance Computing & Simulation (HPCS 2012) Organizing Committee invites proposals for symposia, tracks, workshops and special sessions to be held in conjunction with the Tenth HPCS 2012 Conference. Symposia, Tracks, Workshops and special sessions provide an opportunity for researchers to present results and participate in focused discussions of timely topics on various areas of high performance computing systems and technologies as well as their applications and use in Modeling and Simulation domains. They are to establish a common understanding of a certain aspect, to share experiences, to foster research communities, to learn from each other, to identify open problems and/or to explore future directions of research. A symposium or track will typically go for more than one day. A workshop will typically be a full day (10-14 papers). A special session will typically have 4-6 papers. Symposia, tracks, workshops and special sessions will be fully refereed and their accepted papers will be published as part of the HPCS 2012 proceedings. The symposia, tracks, workshops and special sessions are considered part of the overall HPCS Conference and hence included in the conference registration. For each symposium, track, workshop or special session, at least one organizer must commit to attending and running the respective track, symposium, workshop or special session. All proposals should be submitted by electronic mail as a .doc attachment. Samples of previous proposals can be found on the HPCS 2012 web site at http://cisedu.us/rp/hpcs12 and on the HPCS 2011 web site at http://cisedu.us/rp/hpcs11/ under the Symposia, Workshops and Special Sessions menus. If approved, the organizers agree to strictly follow all professional standards and ethics in performing their role as well as abide by the HPCS 2012 rules and policies, including its program and activities.
